clambake

Anil's emergency department had a clambake in Rhode Island last weekend. Noah was sick, so he stayed home with my parents, and we got some fun time with just Maya. I'd forgotten what that's like! It was at an outdoor space made for large gatherings, with huge picnic tables and tents. There were lawn games and chalk drawing for the kids. And beer for the grown ups, of course.

Lobstah.

Anil tried to get Maya to try some steamed clams and muscles. How do you think that one went over? I didn't let on how freaked out I feel about them, but she came to that conclusion herself anyway.

I think this was the third or fourth piece of watermelon. Happy kid.

town beach

There's a "town beach" here, meaning you need a resident sticker on your car to park there. I'm hoping that means I can do some friend stalking there this summer, since assumably the other people there will also be residents. Here's to hoping that this town is full of cool people with young kids that will magically appear in the summer. So far, we can't keep Maya from covering her entire body in sand, and Noah won't let his feet touch it.

Moving in!

Creative uses for moving boxes and painters tape (doesn't stick to walls--it's my new favorite household item).
Baby stair gate.
